Chery Dongfengzhizi (奇瑞 東方之子/奇瑞 东方之子) (SQR7180/SQR7201/SQR7241). 2003–12 (prod. unknown). 4-door sedan. F/F, 1845, 2350 cm³ (4 cyl. DOHC), 1971 cm³ (4 cyl. OHC). Daewoo Magnus clone, supposedly produced after Daewoo had gone bust and Chery’s negotiations had not been concluded. Euro 4 engine from 2005. Revisions in 2007. Largest engine for export. Not a particularly inspired basis, and Dongfengzhizi, sometimes exported as Eastar, B11 or Oriental Son, sold on price. Replacement shown at 2011 Guangzhou Auto Show as sales of original model dwindled; on market in 2012.

Manufacturing location: Wuhu, Anhui, China

Marque: Chery | Successor: Chery Eastar
