Buick Skylark (N-body). 1992–8 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan, 2-door coupé. F/F, 2261 cm³ (I4 OHC), 2261, 2392 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 3135, 3343 cm³ (V6 OHV). Buick abandons the upright styling of the previous Skylark in favour of something more futuristic and distinct from other GM counterparts. Same wheelbase, but 9 in longer, and related to Oldsmobile Achieva and Pontiac Grand Am (1992–8). Anti-lock brakes standard, and V6 was a good performer, though all engines were noisy, not helped by poor cabin insulation. Engine changes through run; some sheetmetal changes for 1996. Fleet-only models for 1998.

Manufacturing location: Lansing, Michigan, USA

Marque: Buick | Model: Buick Skylark | Predecessor: Buick Skylark (1986–91) | Successor: Buick Excelle GT (2010–)
