1992 Buick Roadmaster.jpg

Buick Roadmaster (B-body). 1991–6 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon. F/R, 5013, 5733 cm³ (V8 OHV). With Buick’s full-size cars having gone front-wheel drive in the 1980s and downsized, a gap existed at the top for a large rear-wheel-drive range as Americans rediscovered big cars. Roadmaster name first revived for station wagon in 1991, sedan added in 1992, when 5·7 replaced 5·0 engine. Wagon very similar to period Chevrolet Caprice (1991–6) and Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser (1991–2) wagons; sedan had more sheetmetal differences. After deletion in 1996 in favour of SUVs, full-sized GM station wagons only came out of Australia.

Manufacturing location: Arlington, Texas, USA

Marque: Buick | Model: Buick Roadmaster | Predecessor: Buick Electra (1977–89)
