1992 Buick Regal Gran Sport Coupé.jpg

Buick Regal (W-body). 1988–96 (prod. n/a). 2-door coupé, 4-door sedan. F/F, 2836, 3135, 3791 cm³ (V6 OHV). Regal goes front-drive, related to Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme (1988–97), Chevrolet Lumina (1990–4), and Pontiac Grand Prix (1988–96). The performance models were gone, as were the V8s, in favour of a refined, quality image. Digital dash in early models disliked. Gran Sport package from 1989 (became a trim level from 1992), sedans from 1990. ABS on increasing number of models during run (standard on all in 1994). Mid-term facelift for 1993, along with new transmission and larger wheels, and minor refresh in 1995.

Manufacturing location: Oshawa, Ontario, Canada

Marque: Buick | Model: Buick Regal | Predecessor: Buick Regal (1978–87) | Successor: Buick Regal (1997–2008)
