Buick Electra (C-body). 1977–89 (prod. n/a). 2- and 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon. F/R, 4129 cm³ (V6 OHV), 5034, 5726, 6600 cm³ petrol, 5737 cm³ diesel (V8 OHV). Electra downsized to more sensible proportions, initially with smaller V8s, then a six joining the line-up for 1980. Hugely improved over previous model. Wagon brought into Electra range for 1980, where it remained till 1989, albeit on the LeSabre’s 116 in wheelbase—sedans were on 118·9 in; sedans went to smaller front-wheel drive body for 1985 model year.
