Former Alfa Romeo and Ferrari engineer, Giotto Bizzarrini, formed his own company in 1964, following his pivotal role in the development of the Ferrari 250 GTO. initially contracted to develop the Lamborghini V12 engine and Iso Grifo, Bizzarrini decided to develop a supercar bearing his own name.
