Besturn X40. 2017 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/F, 1598 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 53 kWh electric. Initially strong selling compact crossover, a twin of the FAW Xenia R7, but soon ran into problems, with oil leaks and NVH issues, after which sales dropped. Petrol models effectively succeeded by more expensive Bestune T33 in 2019, though in usual Chinese fashion, stayed in production. X40 EV, from late 2018, had claimed 310 and 352 km ranges, depending on model. Petrol model discontinued 2020.
