Bentley Continental R.jpg

Bentley Continental R/Bentley Continental S. 1991–2003 (prod. 1,504). 2-door coupé. F/R, 6750 cm³ (V8 OHV). Inspired by the Project 90 show car at Genève in 1984, which had a very positive reception. Styled by John Heffernan and Ken Greenley, with Rolls-Royce’s Graham Hull, with Hull designing the interior, on a Bentley Turbo R (1985–95) floorpan. Cd at 0,465, actually an improvement on earlier models. Turbocharged V8 with intercooler as standard. S denoted a 1994–5 model with a liquid-cooled chargecooler, with 375 hp. Mulliner version from 1999, which had 426 PS (313 kW) and maximum torque of 875 Nm. Regular R to 2002; Mulliner to 2003. Spawned Bentley Continental T and SC.
