1992 Bentley Brooklands.jpg

Bentley Brooklands. 1992–7 (prod. 1,208 SWB, 172 LWB). 4-door saloon, 4-door LWB saloon. F/R, 6750 cm³ (V8 OHV). Replacement for Mulsanne and Eight recalled racing circuit, and was seen as a recession, entry-level special to keep Bentley sales buoyant. Non-turbo initially, a cheaper alternative to the Bentley Turbo R (1985–95). Greater use of computerization for comfort, though added to a fairly old design the electrics can be troublesome; light-pressure turbocharger from 1996 (so as not to overshadow Turbo R), with original Brooklands series finishing in 1997. R introduced 1996, with turbo, and option of Mulliner customization.

Manufacturing location: Crewe, Cheshire, England

Marque: Bentley | Model: Bentley Brooklands | Predecessor: Bentley Mulsanne (1980–92), Bentley Eight | Successor: Bentley Arnage
