Beijing Jinggangshan (北京 井岡山/北京 井冈山). 1959–68 (prod. 154). 4-door sedan. R/R, 1192 cm³ (I4 OHV). Attempt at doing a people’s car in China, in the Volkswagen 1200 (1954–60) mould, commissioned by the Communist Party. Air-cooled horizontally opposed engine with same capacity as VW Käfer’s, with 26 kW and good for 110 km/h. Prototype had two doors, production models had four.
