F/F, 1497 cm³ petrol, 9 kWh–1497 cm³, 14 kWh–1497 cm³ electric–petrol hybrid (I4 DOHC), 53·1, 56·4, 69·5 kWh electric. BYD finally comes out with a C-segment sedan that doesn’t look like it was cloned from a Toyota Corolla, thanks to new design chief Wolfgang Egger, formerly of Audi. Elegant fastback design, and dimensionally larger than either the contemporary Corolla or Civic at launch (wheelbase at 2,718 mm, length at 4,765 mm, and width at 1,837 mm), aiding interior room. Well priced, far better perceived quality. LED headlights, keyless start, cruise control among standard features.
