BMW Z4 (E89). 2009–16 (prod. n/a). 2-door coupé–convertible. F/R, 1997 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 2497, 2979, 2996 cm³ (I6 DOHC). Very capable sports’ car, with more aggressive looks than its E85 predecessor. Well balanced chassis, and if driven well, quite economical, even at the top end of the range. High level of standard equipment. Originally shifted upmarket with no fours, but with concerns over fuel economy creeping in, BMW reintroduced them into the range in 2011.
