BMW 316d/BMW 318d/BMW 320d/BMW 320i/BMW 328i/BMW 335i (F30). 2011 to date (prod. unknown). 4-door saloon, 4-door LWB saloon. F/R, 1995 cm³ diesel, 1997 cm³ petrol (4 cyl. DOHC), 2979 cm³ (6 cyl. DOHC). More elegant Dreier, taking cues from larger 5-series. Débuted a new style of headlight design, with a more aggressive look. On launch, BMW claimed the new 3 was more efficient (greater power, lower fuel consumption) and safer than the models being replaced. Twin Power Turbo for petrol models; two common-rail turbodiesels also in range. Improved interior over outgoing model. Chinese-market LWB from 2012.
