BMW 316i/BMW 316d/BMW 318i/BMW 318d/BMW 320i/BMW 320d/BMW 320si/BMW 323i/BMW 325i/BMW 325d/BMW 325xi/BMW 330i/BMW 330d/BMW 330xi/BMW 330xd/BMW 335i/BMW 335d/BMW M3 (E90). 2005–13 (prod. 3,005,000 approx.). 2- and 4-door saloon, 2-door convertible, 5-door estate. F/R, F/A, 1599, 1995, 1997 cm³ petrol, 1995 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC), 2497, 2979, 2996 cm³ petrol, 2993 cm³ diesel (I6 DOHC), 3999 cm³ (V8 DOHC). Outward styling evolution for all-new model. Excellent dynamics and still top of the junior executive market against Audi A4 (B8) and Mercedes-Benz C-Klasse (W204). Interior far better than predecessor with more standard equipment; hugely improved electronics and computer. Four-wheel-drive models called xDrive; 335i has three-litre twin-turbo unit delivering 306 PS; 335d applies similar ideas to diesel, with 286 PS. Last E90 M3s exited production in the second half of 2013.
