BMW 1er-Reihe (F40)

BMW 116d/BMW 118i/BMW 118d/BMW 120d/BMW M135i (F40). 2019 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door saloon. F/F, F/A, 1496 cm³ diesel, 1499 cm³ petrol (I3 DOHC), 1995 cm³ diesel, 1998 cm³ petrol (I4 DOHC). Hatchback Einser follows the path of the three-box F52 saloon by going front-drive. On FAAR platform, a development of the UKL series. Shorter than predecessor by 5 mm but much more spacious, thanks to the shift to front-wheel drive, with room now matching Audi A3 Sportback. Big grille up front, part of BMW’s turn-of-the-decade design language. Excellent handling and gearshift; good ride though this could be too firm on larger wheels, and some road noise.
