Autozam Revue/Mazda Revue (DB). 1990–8 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/F, 1138, 1324, 1498 cm³ (I4 OHC). Japanese car design started going fancy at the end of the 1980s, with efficient shapes making way for oddball ones. Revue was supposedly inspired by a woman’s posterior. Related to boxy predecessor, and followed that model by offering a full-roof canvas top. Upright seating, quite good space utilization despite notchback shape, fairly good luggage space. Despite lightness, good ride and handling; some road noise but average for the class. Renamed Mazda Revue when Autozam brand shelved in 1994. As with Ford Festiva, exported as Mazda 121.

Manufacturing location: Japan

Marque: Autozam | Predecessor: Ford Festiva | Successor: Mazda Demio (DW)
