Austin Seven (ADO15). 1959–61 (prod. 436,200 for standard Austin Mini Mk I and Seven, 85,500 Countryman, 83,405 Cooper). 2-door saloon, 2-door estate (plus 2 rear doors). F/F, 848, 997 cm³ (I4 OHV). Remarkable, space-efficient front-wheel-drive car, a twin of Morris Mini-Minor, with interior room for four but no conventional boot. Name recalled prewar baby Austin. Cooper from 1961, with original engine capacity increased to 997 cm³, developing 55 bhp, and addition of double SU carburettors and disc brakes.
