Mk II follow-up to Alec Issigonis’s Mini saw some improvements, e.g. new front grille, larger rear window and new rear lights. Cooper received an all-synchromesh gearbox for 1968. Still no wind-up windows—that was left till Mk III. Not hugely changed—still uncomfortable in terms of driving position but a largely inspired handler. Sold in virtually identical form as Morris Mini Mk II.
Marque: Austin | Model: Austin Mini | Predecessor: Austin Mini Mk I | Successor: Mini (Mk III).
