Austin 1800 Mk II (ADO17). 1968–72 (prod. 210,000 approx. incl. Mk I and III, plus 56,918 Australian production). 4-door saloon. F/F, 1798 cm³ (I4 OHV). Improvements to Landcrab, externally featuring larger wheels and a better resolved grille; at rear, the horizontal lights gave way to vertical ones. Standard 1·8 developed more power, now up to 86 bhp (over the Mk I’s 80 and 84 bhp). S had MGB-tune engine, with twin carbs and 95 bhp.
