Audi A6/Audi S6/Audi RS6 (C6). 2004 to date (prod. unknown). 4-door saloon, 4-door LWB saloon, 5-door estate. F/F, F/A, 1984 cm³ petrol, 1968 cm³ diesel (4 cyl. DOHC), 2393, 2773, 2995, 3123 cm³ petrol, 2698, 2967 cm³ diesel (V6 DOHC), 4163 cm³ (V8 DOHC), 4991, 5204 cm³ (V10 DOHC). First Audi to début with the single-frame grille. At the time, it looked very startling, though Audi succeeded in giving its models greater presence against BMW 5er-Reihe and Mercedes-Benz E-Klasse. Themes developed from earlier A6, but with greater emphasis on the length of the design. Very refined, with excellent power delivery. Allroad Quattro estate has air suspension, with height adjustable by 60 mm. RS6 has engine related to Lamborghini V10, delivering 580 PS, with Avant claiming the title of world’s fastest production estate, with stronger acceleration than R8 sports car. LWB saloon (102 mm longer wheelbase) for China only.
