Audi 100 1991.jpg

Audi 100 (C4). 1990–5 (prod. n/a). 4-door saloon, 5-door estate. F/F, F/A, 1781, 1984 cm³ petrol (I4 OHC), 2226, 2309 cm³ petrol, 2461 cm³ diesel (I5 OHC), 2598, 2771 cm³ (V6 OHC). A substantial revision of the Audi 100 (C3), with an emphasis on developing a new, more solid, style for the marque, with the more mainstream adoption of the Audi V8’s prouder-looking grille. The C4 generation saw the old 200-series cars dropped, in favour of the S-line cars (S4 for the Audi 100, S2 for the Audi 80 (B4)), as well as a move toward V6 engines from the top-liners. The 100 moniker was dropped in 1995, with the range re-alignment, being facelifted into the Audi A6 (C4).
