Large Audi range, named after the approximate 100 PS power output. Developed by ex-Mercedes-Benz engineer Ludwig Kraus. Two-doors generally DM300 cheaper. Fastback coupé (100 Coupé S) most desirable, and only model with the 1871 cm³ 115 PS engine until 1972, when the Audi 100 GL could be had with the bored-out unit. Freshening for 1973.
