Aston Martin Rapide. 2009 to date (prod. unknown). 4-door saloon. F/R, 5935 cm³ (V12 DOHC). Lagonda for the 21st century, based on the VH architecture shared with DB9. Revived Rapide name from old Lagonda. Stretched to 5 m in length. Effectively a four-door DB9, but does not share any outer panels with the two-door car. Proper seats in the back, though limited knee room; really a sports’ car that happens to have four doors. V12 develops 470 bhp. Priced at £140,000 when new.

Manufacturing locations: Graz, Austria; Gaydon, Warwickshire, England

Marque: Aston Martin | Predecessor: Aston Martin Lagonda (1978–90)
