Aston Martin DBS V8. 1970–2 (prod. 402). 2-door saloon. F/R, 5340 cm³ (V8 DOHC). The DBS finally made good in the form it was meant to take, sales starting spring 1970. Tadek Marek-designed V8 in the engine bay with still-stunning William Towns-designed body. Much heavier, though engine probably developed 315 bhp. Alloy wheels, since wires could not cope with added power. Bosch fuel injection. Louvres in C-post gone for all V8s. Rear taillights came from the Hillman Hunter.

Manufacturing location: Newport Pagnell, Milton Keynes, England

Marque: Aston Martin | Model: Aston Martin DBS | Successor: Aston Martin V8 (1972–89)
