Aston Martin DBS (VH). 2007–12 (prod. n/a). 2-door coupé, 2-door convertible. F/R, 5935 cm³ (V12 DOHC). Development of Aston Martin DB9 rather than an all-new model, resurrecting DBS name from the 1960s. DBR9 racing car engine tuned to develop 517 PS; new interior distinct from DB9’s. Car is superior to DB9 on most aspects (handling, grip, power), accounting for price premium. Promoted in two James Bond films; launched in the first. Volante convertible from 2009. Coupé replaced by Vanquish in 2012.
