Aston Martin DB6. 1965–70 (prod. 1,753; other source lists 1,567, incl. 215 Volante, 71 Vantage; incl. 243 Mk II, incl. 35 Vantage; other source lists 1,325 Mk I saloon, 140 Mk I Volante [incl. 29 to Vantage spec], 4 Radford shooting brakes [converted], 38 Mk II Volante). 2-door saloon, 2-door convertible. F/R, 3995 cm³ (I6 DOHC). Ultimate incarnation of the DB4 line, with longer, Kamm tail including spoiler and four-inch stretch in wheelbase. Convertible called Volante for the first time, with first 37 on SWB platform. Mk II introduced 1969, with some refinements; Aston Martin was tempted to name it DB7 at one stage.
