F/R, 3995 cm³ (I6 DOHC). Ultimate incarnation of the DB4 line, with longer, Kamm tail including spoiler and four-inch stretch in wheelbase. Convertible called Volante for the first time, with first 37 on SWB platform. Mk II introduced 1969, with some refinements; Aston Martin was tempted to name it DB7 at one stage.
