Aston Martin Cygnet.jpg

Aston Martin Cygnet. 2011–13 (prod. n/a). 3-door saloon. F/F, 1329 cm³ (I4 DOHC). A commuter car, existing largely to help reduce the average carbon-dioxide emissions for the Aston Martin range, as required by the European Union. Offered initially to existing AML customers. Essentially a facelifted, re-trimmed and very pricey Toyota IQ, finished at Gaydon. Unlike the overpriced Frazer Tickford Metro of the 1980s, Cygnet bore the Aston Martin badge, and to purists was a questionable expression of the brand’s values.

Manufacturing location: Gaydon, Warwickshire, England

Marque: Aston Martin
