2005 Acura TL.jpg

Acura TL (UA6/UA7). 2004–8 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 3210, 3471 cm³ (V6 OHC). Honda Inspire (UC1)-based third-generation TL, with sportier styling, with no parallel model in this series in Japan, for the first time. Largely US-developed under Erik Berkman and styled by Jon Ikeda. A hit for Acura, becoming the brand’s best selling sedan. Minor mid-term changes 2007. Excellent manual gearbox and highly regarded V6s, but FWD let the car down compared with its RWD rivals, and steering less communicative.

Manufacturing location: Marysville, Ohio, USA

Marque: Acura | Model: Acura TL | Predecessor: Acura TL (UA4) | Successor: Acura TL (UA8)
