ARO 10. 1980–2006 (prod. unknown). 3- and 5-door SUV, 2-door convertible. F/R, F/A, 1289, 1397, 1557 cm³ (4 cyl. OHV), 1595, 1870 cm³ diesel (4 cyl. OHC), 1598 cm³ (4 cyl. DOHC). Small off-road counterpart to larger ARO 24, exported as Dacia Duster to some countries. Shared engines with Dacia initially, with Renault engines later. Not particularly well built, and very basic compared to rivals, selling on price. Three-door on launch, five-door (technically ARO 10.4 and 11.4) later. Spartana, an open version of the 10 with cut-out front doors, from 1997. Standard 10s ended production in 1999, replaced by 10 Super, while Spartana continued to 2006.
