Update of Corcel II, in turn based around a Renault design. More modern styling, in keeping with Ford design themes around this time, especially for Taunus 80, being built in neighbouring Argentina. Lots of standard equipment for the time, including alloy wheels and power windows. Wagon dubbed Scala. Mid-term facelift for 1985, with downmarket model in 1987 to fill the gap left by the deleted Corcel. Autolatina alliance saw Volkswagen Santana 1·8 engine used, boosting power output.
Marque: Ford | Predecessor: Ford Corcel II | Successor: Ford Versailles
