From AutocadeFiat Egea (Progetto 356). 2015 to date (prod. n/a). 4-door saloon. F/F, 1248, 1598 cm³ diesel, 1368 cm³ petrol (I4 DOHC), 1598 cm³ (I4 OHC). Successor to Linea, and targeted at developing markets as well as rivalling Škoda Rapid (NH3) and Dacia Logan (M0) as a budget saloon. Announced as Ægea at the İstanbul Motor Show but ultimately appeared on the home market as Egea. Exported to some countries as Tipo. Very roomy with good equipment levels, and well priced. Five-inch touch-screen in the dashboard, with Bluetooth connectivity. Some switchgear from Fiat 500 (2007–), and interior materials not the nicest, keeping the price low. Suspension geared toward comfort with vague steering, though reasonably refined. Exported as Dodge Neon to México, with cross-hair grille.
