From AutocadeB-segment supermini, replacing Starlet in many markets, and exported variously as Echo and Yaris. Original model, styled in Europe, was complemented by a booted version called Platz, and a minivan called Fun Cargo; the second generation had a booted complement called Belta. A very strong contender in the supermini market, with excellent use of space, and one of Toyota’s best performers in the first decade of the 21st century.
