Toyota Celsior (F30/XF30/UCF30). 2000–6 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/R, 4293 cm³ (V8 DOHC). New 4·3 V8, and new suspension (double wishbones front and rear), longer wheelbase (an extra 76 mm) and taller. More aerodynamic, with Cd dropping to 0,25. Interior modelled on luxury environments, such as first-class airline seats and top hotels. Now called Lexus LS 430 for export. Mid-term changes in 2003, including introduction of six-speed automatic gearbox. Toyota announced that it would expand its domestic Lexus line-up in 2003, although Celsior continued to 2006 before making way for the Crown Majesta to be the Toyota brand’s flagship (with the exception of the V12 Century).
