2005 Toyota Caldina.jpg

Toyota Caldina (ZZT240W/AZT240W/ST246W). 2002–7 (prod. n/a). 5-door wagon. F/F, F/A, 1794, 1998 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Finally, Caldina gets some spice—no longer looking like a Corona or Avensis wagon, and, instead more of an edgy sport wagon. Now 1,740 mm wide on the MC platform, putting third-generation Caldina into the class 3 tax bracket. Futuristic looks not quite carried through into interior, which remained on the dull side. Still available with the Celica GT-Four engine developing 260 hp for the most powerful models. Mid-term changes in 2005, with minor changes to grille, headlights, taillights and interior, among other things. End of the line for Toyota’s large wagons in 2007, including the Crown, with Avensis imports filling the void.

Manufacturing location: Japan

Marque: Toyota | Model: Toyota Caldina | Predecessor: Toyota Caldina (T210) | Successor: Toyota Avensis (T270)
