Toyota Aurion/Toyota Camry (XV40). 2006–12 (prod. 25,093 sold in Australia to end of 2007). 4-door sedan. F/F, 1998, 2362 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 3456 cm³ (V6 DOHC). Upmarket Camry with same wheelbase and central section, but more formal front and rear ends. Sold as Camry in some markets (e.g. China). Replaced first-generation Avalon in Australia, where it challenged Ford Falcon and Holden Commodore. Styled by Paul Beranger, formerly of Ford Australia. Usual Toyota hallmarks: quiet, refined. Top model has supercharged V6. Wider grille and some upgrades from September 2009.
