Toyopet Crown (RS40/MS40). 1962–7 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon, 2-door pick-up. F/R, 1897 cm³ (I4 OHV), 1988, 2253 cm³ (I6 OHC). Much larger Crown, with more contemporary US influence, akin to Ford Falcon (1960–3). Better highway performance, with an eye on the US market. Larger grille in 1963, further facelift in 1965. Larger M-type sixes with OHC from 1965, including Crown S with two-litre and sport equipment such as tachometer. Super Deluxe model had power windows, from 1966. Spun off wide-body Toyopet Crown Eight in 1964. Assembled in Korea by Shinjin, with the two-litre six, between 1967 and 1968.
