Suzuki Fronte (LC10 II/LC10W). 1970–6 (prod. n/a). 2-door sedan, 2-door coupé. R/R, 356, 475 cm³ (I3 2-str.). ‘Stingray look’ Fronte 71 released November 1970, retaining two-stroke, with larger unit for export. Lower than second-generation Fronte. LC10W from May 1971, with water-cooled engines rather than air-cooled. Giugiaro-designed Coupé from September 1971. Facelift for 72, with more water-cooled models. Market demand for Coupé saw 2+2 added in February 1972, with tiny rear seats; by October the original two-seater was deleted. Minor changes for 73, with rectangular headlamps changed for round units. Sedan ran till July 1973, with rebodied LC20 introduced, while Coupé continued. Power reduced from 37 PS to 35 PS in 1974, due to emissions’ rules.
