Suzuki Cultus Crescent/Maruti Baleno. 1995–2007 (prod. n/a). 3- and 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon. F/F, F/A, 1298, 1590 cm³ petrol, 1905 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 1839 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Largest Suzuki passenger car range at the time, on stretched Cultus platform. XUD diesel engine in Europe supplied by Peugeot. Revised styling in 1998. Noisy and anonymous but with good performance; however, treaded the middle ground too much to have found favour in the Corolla–Civic segment. Exported as Suzuki Esteem and Suzuki Baleno in various countries; built in India as Maruti Baleno.
