Cheapest car on sale in Britain when launched, at £481 7s. 6d. Modern specifications: unitary construction, independent front suspension, Girling hydraulic brakes. OHV engine, uprated in 1957. No bootlid for base models; this was introduced in 1957 for Eight Gold Star model. Sliding windows till 1955. Optional overdrive in 1957; Standrive semi-automatic transmission available.
