Conventionally attractive C-segment sedan, styled under Gert Hildebrand (formerly of Mini), with European sales in mind, from Chinese–Israeli JV between Chery and Israel Corp. Single body style, with 1·6, initially, flagship featuring turbocharger. First Chinese-made car to score five stars in Euro NCAP tests. Well made interior albeit with cheaper materials, comfortable ride, and quiet, befitting its more premium aspirations. Launched in China first, November 2013. Hatchback from 2014. Raised crossover, the 3 City SUV, based on the hatchback and first shown in late 2014. Wagon shown in 2014 but yet to enter production. Smaller 1·5 replaced 1·6 in 2020 as range trimmed, leaving only the four-door, and renamed 3S.
