1984 Pontiac Parisienne.jpg

Pontiac Parisienne (B-body). 1977–86 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon, 2-door coupé. F/R, 231 in³ (V6 OHV), 265, 301, 350, 400 in³ petrol, 350 in³ diesel (V8 OHV). Canadian version of the GM full-size B-body, but, from 1981, closer to the Chevrolet Caprice (1977–90) than the Pontiac Bonneville (1977–81) sold in the US. From then, essentially a rebadged Chevrolet, though from 1985, Parisienne regained the old US Bonneville’s rear end. When the sedan was cancelled in 1986, the wagon was renamed simply Safari and soldiered on to 1989. Comments for Caprice and Bonneville apply.
