Although sold in Canada as the Caravelle since 1978, Plymouth in the US did not get its version of the Dodge Diplomat—an upscale Volaré—till 1982. Not a full-size car, despite its name. Four-door sedan only in this market, with most going to non-civilian use. Gran Fury Salon denoted an upmarket version.
