Nissan Skyline (R34). 1999–2001 (prod. 64,623 sold). 4-door sedan, 2-door coupé. F/R, F/A, 1998, 2498, 2568 cm³ (I6 DOHC). Skyline evolves, with a slightly updated shape and more efficient engines. More rigid body. GT-R’s 2·6-litre straight-six now with 280 PS on tap. Tiptronic available on all but two-litre models. Minor changes 2000. Very short life cycle, and GT-Rs very sought after as Nissan announced it would not continue the model with the R34’s immediate successor.
