Nissan Prairie Liberty (M12). 1998–2001 (prod. n/a). 5-door MPV. F/F, F/A, 1998 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Hugely improved styling after incongruous Joy. Minivan based around Nissan Avenir (W11) mechanicals. Designed to be more flexible, with third row of seats easily folded away, and glass hatch at rear could be opened separately of tailgate. CVT standard, with FWD models available with a LEV (low-emission vehicle) spec. Turbo added in 2001, when the Prairie name was consigned to history.
