Nissan Auster (A10). 1977–81 (prod. n/a). F/R, 1397 cm³ (I4 OHV), 1595, 1770 cm³ (I4 OHC). 4- and 5-door sedan, 3-door coupé, 5-door wagon. Launching after Violet, Auster was targeted at a younger buyer. Wagon was, in fact, a utilitarian van. Mid-term changes in 1979, whereupon the 1·4 was deleted. Five-door added 1980. Usual Nissan formula of conventional, unexciting engineering.
