2000 Mitsubishi Proudia.jpg

Mitsubishi Proudia (S32A). 1999–2001 (prod. 1,227). 4-door sedan. F/F, 3497 cm³ (V6 DOHC), 4498 cm³ (V8 DOHC). Jointly developed with Hyundai, which released its version as the Hyundai Equus (LZ). Long-wheelbase version called Mitsubishi Dignity. Rare for such a powerful car to be driven only by its front wheels at the time. Rivalled Toyota Celsior (F10) and Nissan Cima (Y33), but less successful. Mitsubishi’s financial difficulties and the model’s low sales saw a quick end to production in 2001.

Manufacturing location: Okazaki, Aichi, Japan

Marque: Mitsubishi | Model: Mitsubishi Proudia | Predecessor: Mitsubishi Debonair (S22) | Successor: Nissan Fuga (Y51)
