Mercedes-Benz C180/Mercedes-Benz C200/Mercedes-Benz C200 CDI/Mercedes-Benz C220 CDI/Mercedes-Benz C230/Mercedes-Benz C240/Mercedes-Benz C270 CDI/Mercedes-Benz C280/Mercedes-Benz C320/Mercedes-Benz C320 CDI/Mercedes-Benz C350/Mercedes-Benz C30 CDI AMG/Mercedes-Benz C55 AMG (W203/S203/CL203). 2000–8 (prod. n/a). 4-door saloon, 5-door estate, 3-door coupé. F/R, F/A, 1796, 1998, 2295 cm³ petrol, 2148 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC), 2685, 2950 cm³ diesel (I5 DOHC), 2496, 2996, 3498 cm³ (V6 DOHC), 2597, 3199 cm³ (V6 OHC), 5439 cm³ (V8 DOHC). Second generation of C-Klasse, with similar size; wheelbase went up an inch. Saloon initially, coupé following later in 2000, with estate in 2001. More expressive, youthful styling, more safety equipment and better dynamics, though still lacking when compared with BMW 3er-Reihe (E46). Supercharger offered for C180, C200 and C230. Refined, with well executed interior. Cd at 0,27 for base model. Better balanced in looks than larger Mercedes-Benz E-Klasse (W210). Saloon and estate to 2007; coupé continued to 2008.
