From AutocadeIso Lele. 1969–74 (prod. 285). 2-door coupé. F/R, 5358, 5736, 5766 cm³ (V8 OHV). A 2+2 fitting in between the Grifo coupé and the Fidia saloon, with a fastback body designed by Marcello Gandini for Bertone, with capital for development on the IR 340 platform provided by a US client. Front independent double wishbones, rear de Dion suspension; disc brakes all round. Named for Piero Rivolta’s wife, Lele. Spartan specification, but well priced relative to the competition from Lamborghini, Maserati and Ferrari. Chevrolet engines initially, with larger unit from 1970; Ford 351 from 1972 after GM insisted Iso pay for its engines up front and buy in bulk. Iso had to alter the frame to accommodate the larger Ford engine, with the car getting other revisions at the same time. IR6 Sport from 1973. Built till Iso closed in 1974.
