A new body style—the Hatch—was the big news for cosmetically changed LX series, but new emissions’ standards came into force soon after launch. Improved interior. Sunbird badge adorned four-cylinder models from late 1976, while Radial Tuned Suspension, from 1977, improved handling across range. Most famous of this series was the A9X option, developed for touring-car racing. Last Torana with V8.
