Holden brought to Australia an old Buick name for its version of the Toyota Camry. Forced to share models under the Australian Government’s Button Plan, Holden replaced its Camira with the V20 Camry, with minor trim differences. There were more substantial changes with the Holdenized Toyota Scepter that ran as the JM and JP series from 1993, but the cars fooled few Australian buyers: the Toyota originals always outsold the Holdens.
